Kellie Martin is an American actress in television, film and stage performer. Her most notable parts include Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other roles of note include the lead role in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin's acting journey began at age seven, when an aunt an ex-nanny who looked after her children Michael Landon, helped secure a spot as a special actor in the film of the same name, 'Father Murphy.' She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television and film industry. Martin is, in addition to acting, she is also a talented photographer and ballet dancer. Since she is a mother of two kids, she's been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about the disease since her younger sister died due to the disease at 19.
